3rd Thursday (+one) Jazz Series
The Fort Worth Library proudly presents its fourth annual 3rd Thursday Jazz Series. The performances are part of the library's Jazz Preservation Project, which exists to preserve the rich musical heritage of North Texas and expose people to the arts.
This year's lineup includes:
Carolyn Lee Jones Quintet
Acclaimed singer performs standards from the Great American Songbook. "Her voice is warm, silky and irresistible."

Benny Green Trio
Featured Performance
Hailed as the most exciting hard-swinging, hard-bop pianist to emerge from Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. Featuring Kenny Washington on drums and David Wong on bass.

Texas Gypsies
"Midnight in Paris: Jazz of the 1930s and '40s"
Gypsy jazz meets Texas swing for an energetic, fun-filled romp down the streets of a bygone era. Always a crowd pleaser.

(+one) Metro Praise Youth Orchestra
Texas all-state alumni perform big band classics from the likes of Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson and Count Basie.

Duane Durrett Quartet
"Take Five"
Performing the music of pianists and composers Dave Brubeck and Bill Evans and featuring Johnny Case, Brad Leali and Lou Harlas.

Paul Unger Septet
"The Genius of Mingus"
Performing the music of Charles Mingus, featuring selections from the groundbreaking 1959 recording "Ah Um."
